About Jugsalai Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the assembly constituency of Jugsalai is occupied by AJSUP (All Jharkhand Students Union Party). Ram Chandra Sahis won the assembly elections of 2009. He defeated his nearest rival Rakhi Roy of BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). Sahis bagged 42810 votes as against Roy's 39328 votes. Located in East Singhbhum district of Maharashtra, the assembly constituency belongs to Jamshedpur parliamentary constituency. As per 2011, the city had a population of 1,25,374. It is mainly a residential area.
