About Sangam Vihar Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency

Sangam Vihar, a part of South Delhi parliamentary constituency, was organised in 2008 after the Delimitation Commission of India. Dinesh Mohaniya of AAP is the present MLA from the constituency. He defeated Shiv Charan Lal Gupta of BJP who won the 2008 assembly elections. As per the claims of Mohaniya, there is neither a government hospital nor a senior secondary school for the people of the constituency. Thus, the basic problem of governance and development will be the major issue in the upcoming assembly elections.

Lok sabha elections 2019

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) was riding the Modi wave and thus, could cash in votes from National Capital Territory in the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. The Union Territory of Delhi consists of seven Lok Sabha seats. The BJP managed to sweep all the seats from here in 2014. Mahagathbandhan

Unlike Uttar Pradesh, all is well for the Congress and Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and Jharkhand. The confusion in the non-BJP camp is partly due to the lack of appreciation at this time, while the contrasting picture of synergy among them in Bihar and Jharkhand is driven by an acknowledgement of each other’s mutual interests. There is no denying the fact that state-level alliances will hold the key in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In Uttar Pradesh, the alliance between the ...Read More

Yet a section of civil society and public intellectuals have again been explicitly critical of the BJP’s policies and may have created a chink in BJP’s consolidated Hindu vote armor. Two Bharat bandhs, multiple award wapsis, and ...Read More
