About Garkha Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
RJD�s Muneshwar Chaudhary is the sitting MLA of the Grakha assembly constituency. Manjhi won the seat by 89,249 votes in the 2015 assembly elections. He defeated Gyanchand Manjhi of BJP by a margin of 39,883 votes. Gyanchand Manjhi had won the 2005 (October) and 2010 election of the Bihar Assembly. However, he lost in 2015.Garkha has an electorate of 2,83,158 eligible voters, of them 1,54,745 are men and 1,28,402 are women. Garkha is a legislative assembly of Bihar, reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SCs). It is located in Saran district. It is a part of the Saran Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency of the state.
