CEO Arunachal Pradesh


Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief Electoral Officer of Arunachal Pradesh by the Election Commission of India.
He will be replacing his predecessor Mr. Yashi Tsering who has been transferred to Shillong in Meghalaya. Chandra Bhushan Kumar hails from Bihar.

Chandra Bhushan Kumar was born on 25th August 1967 and is a 1995 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre and is currently serving as the Commissioner to the Chief Minister. His educational qualification is par excellence - he has done B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from Ranchi University in 1989, MA in Public Administration at Maxwell School, Syracuse University, USA in 2007 and is also a Bachelor in Law (LLB) from University of Delhi in 2009.

Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar has an extensive professional experience spanning fifteen years serving as an IAS officer in Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Rajasthan. He has shared his intellectual expertise in making various public policies. He has also worked as an Advisor (Disaster Management) to UNDP.

Shri Chandra Bhushan Kumar had taken a preparation leave from 28th September 2009 to 29th September 2012 for his research work on "sustainability of Delhi, a mega city".
