Here are the highlights for Day 37 of Modi government

 

  • In a meeting with K. Shanmugam, Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law, Narendra Modi said that the government is planning a major push in low-cost and inexpensive housing and asked for Singapore's help in creating a technology for this purpose.
  • PM's visit to Jammu and Kashmir this week is seen as a tough political call. Modi is visiting the state at the time when the issue of demand for revoking Article 370 of the constitution is in dispute.
  • Former Union Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily today blamed the NDA government of being in 'confrontation' with the judiciary.
  • Congress attacked Modi over the issue of price hike and said he misguided people during the general elections by saying he will “solve all the problems" if voted to power.
  • Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa today thanked the Modi government for appointing a Supervisory Committee for raising the water level of Mullaperiyar dam to 142 ft in line with the Supreme Court order.
