Here are the highlights for Day 20 of Modi government

  • PM Narendra Modi left for Bhutan on a two-day visit.
  • Modi described Bhutan as a "natural choice" for his maiden visit abroad, and said that relations with Thimphu will be a key foreign policy priority of his government.
  • Defence Minister Arun Jaitley today said the central government is ready for dialogue with anyone who wants to talk, but it should be within the framework of the constitution of the country and its sovereignty.
  • The Centre has asked the Delhi government to hold back the housing projects for poor approved under the UPA regime if it cannot complete them on time.
  • Arun Jaitley visited the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) and the India-Pakistan boundary in Jammu and Kashmir. Jaitley praised the Indian soldiers for doing a laudable job in safeguarding the country.
